Hi! I'm Alexis, the on-site provider here at TMK. I've been working with children since I was 14 years old, and somehow I'm 28 now. I started at Kids' Korner, now known as Little Bumblebee, and honestly childcare has always felt like home to me. I grew up watching my mom work in daycare, so being able to follow in her footsteps and create something of my own is really special to me.

I'm a Rye Neck High School Class of 2016 graduate and later attended Iona University — back when it was still Iona College ☕ — where I majored in International Business and minored in Computer Science. I'm definitely a Westchester girl, so if you ever need a good local recommendation, I probably have one!

What I love most about working with children is knowing that I get to be a small part of who they become. Those first five years are HUGE, and I don't take it lightly that families trust me to be one of their child's first teachers.

At TMK, I'm big on letting kids actually be kids. We learn, explore, make messes, go on walks, cook, create, build independence, practice routines, and have fun while doing it. Of course, I want every child prepared for kindergarten and meeting their developmental goals, but I also want them learning how to communicate, make friends, trust others, solve problems, and feel confident in themselves.

Most importantly, I want TMK to truly feel like your child's home away from home. I want our kids to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and like they belong here.

If they leave TMK a little more confident, independent, curious, kind and ready for whatever comes next, then I know I did my job.
